Bring your swag for a three day, two night immersion camp with Leanne staying in Wollombi based at "Ngurrumpa", a 160 acre bush property close to Yengo National Park, in the Lower Hunter Valley, NSW. This is the traditional country of the Darkinjung people.
Camp activities could include guided visits to various cultural sites, artefact making in wood and stone, traditional dance workshops and Corroboree, campfire stories and Aboriginal astronomy, traditional fibre-craft, bush walks including food and medicine discussions.
Price is for self catering meals but you can add the option of full catering including bush tucker.
To secure a date, bookings must be made online with payment. Please note that we require a minimum of 4 people and a maximum of 15 for each booking to proceed.
If your group size is below or above this requirement, you can still book online, and we will contact you to discuss alternative dates or confirm if the booking can proceed as planned.
We have very basic facilities for bush camps including a large communal space for sleeping and cooking, mattresses, solar lighting and refrigeration, rainwater tanks, hot showers, outside fireplace, composting toilets. Bring your own bedding to camp inside or a full swag so you can sleep under the stars.
We are out of mobile phone range, though have emergency communication. "Ngurrumpa" is 100% owned and managed by Aboriginal people, who seek as far as possible to live by traditional cultural values.
